A Buddha Air flight, with the registration number 9N-AOC, skidded off the runway at Gautam Buddha Airport in Rupandehi last night at approximately 9 PM. The plane, arriving from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, ended up in a grassy field adjacent to the runway after losing control during landing.
The incident resulted in part of the aircraft veering off the intended path and entering the grassy area beside the runway. Fortunately, Buddha Air has confirmed that all passengers and crew members onboard are safe.
As of now, further details regarding the cause of the skid and the extent of any potential damage to the aircraft are yet to be disclosed.
