The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has prohibited the flying of kites, drones, and balloons around Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
In a notice issued on Thursday, CAAN highlighted that such activities, along with the use of laser lights, can pose serious risks to flight safety in and around the airport’s air traffic zone.
The authority has urged the public to refrain from engaging in or encouraging these activities. The notice also warned that any violation of the directive will result in strict legal action under existing laws.
