Chaudhary Group, through its hospitality arm CG Hospitality Global, has announced a new international collaboration with India’s MLA Group to develop a five-star luxury JW Marriott hotel in Siliguri, India. According to Managing Director Rahul Chaudhary, the project marks another significant milestone in the group’s expanding global hospitality portfolio, which continues to grow across multiple international markets in partnership with leading global brands. The Siliguri development comes alongside CG Hospitality’s recent high-profile agreement with Marriott International for two ultra-luxury hotels in Kathmandu, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two organizations.
High-Level Agreement Signed with Global Hospitality Leaders
The agreement was formally signed on Sunday in the presence of senior representatives from all partner organizations, including Marriott International Inc. South Asia Senior Vice President Kiran Andicot, CG Hospitality Managing Director Rahul Chaudhary, CG Group Managing Director Varun Chaudhary, and MLA Group Managing Director Sushil Kumar Agarwal. Following the signing, CG Hospitality confirmed that the JW Marriott Siliguri project is expected to come into operation within three years.
Focus on Rising Tourism Demand in Siliguri
Speaking on the development, Managing Director Rahul Chaudhary stated that the decision to establish a luxury property in Siliguri is driven by the region’s rapidly increasing influx of international travelers and its growing importance as a commercial and transit hub in eastern India.
He noted that the partnership with a strong local group like MLA Group would further streamline development and operational execution of the project. While specific details regarding the number of rooms and total investment have not yet been disclosed, the company confirmed that the project will be developed as a full-scale five-star JW Marriott property.
