Chandragiri Cable Car operations came to a standstill for approximately two hours on Wednesday afternoon following a power outage.
The disruption occurred around 1:00 PM when the cable car was halted due to the electricity outage, resuming operation around 3:00 PM.
According to spokesperson DSP Nawaraj Adhikari from the District Police Office, Kathmandu, after the power outage, passengers stranded in the cable car cabins were safely evacuated to the ground. He confirmed that eight passengers were safely evacuated after the outage was resolved.
This incident underscores the importance of preparedness and safety measures in the operation of cable car systems, ensuring the well-being of passengers during unforeseen disruptions.
