To mark the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations, regular commercial charter flights from Chengdu, China to Pokhara International Airport will begin today. With the support of Sichuan province, Sichuan Airlines will operate its first regular commercial charter flight to Pokhara International Airport starting Tuesday. This flight is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Nepal and China, promoting tourism, cultural exchange, and business collaboration, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.
A 126-member Nepali delegation will fly via Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu to Pokhara for the “Pokhara-Chengdu Flight Promotion and China (Sichuan) Sales Mission 2025.” The delegation will participate in business meetings with representatives from various government and private sectors in Chinese cities like Chengdu, Luzhou, and Leshan.
