Sacred Cleanse: Massive Cleanliness Drive at Badrinarayan Dham Ahead of Pran Pratishtha

The Badrinarayan Dham Temple successfully organised a cleanliness drive today in preparation for the next religious and cultural festivities that are planned for Baishakh 19–27 (May 2–10, 2025). Mr. Harihar Karki oversaw and led the program, which aimed to promote the temple’s religious and tourism potential both domestically in Nepal and abroad. In order to welcome pilgrims and visitors who were anticipated to attend the magnificent Pran Pratishtha (ritual consecration) and Anushthan (ritual rituals) of the precious Sri Vigraha (idol) of Lord Badrinarayan, the campaign concentrated on cleaning the temple’s environs and enhancing its overall beauty.

Over the course of nine days, this important religious occasion will feature a number of customary Vedic rites, prayers, and devotional activities. “This is not just a religious event, but also an opportunity to boost cultural awareness and religious tourism in the region,” Mr. Karki said, underscoring the significance of such activities. We are working hard to make sure the temple is ready to receive both foreign and Nepalese worshippers.

Due to its spiritual significance and tranquil surroundings, the Badrinarayan Dham Temple, which is considered a hallowed spiritual location, is becoming more and more popular among devotees and tourists. Local officials and religious groups are hoping that the temple would draw more tourists with the approaching Pran Pratishtha celebration, which will improve the region’s cultural legacy and economic opportunities. Religious leaders, volunteers, and members of the community are all actively involved in the ongoing preparations to make sure the event, which is anticipated to get a lot of attention, is a success.
