On Friday, the value of the US dollar dropped compared to Thursday, while the Euro and Pound Sterling showed an increase, according to the foreign exchange rates released by Nepal Rastra Bank.
As per today’s exchange rate, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at NPR 133.60, with the selling rate at NPR 134.20. This is a slight drop from Thursday’s rates, where the buying rate was NPR 133.71 and the selling rate was NPR 134.31.
Meanwhile, the Euro saw a rise, with today’s buying rate at NPR 149.07 and the selling rate at NPR 149.74, compared to Thursday’s rates of NPR 148.76 (buying) and NPR 149.43 (selling). Similarly, the Pound Sterling increased, with the buying rate at NPR 177.59 and the selling rate at NPR 178.39, up from Thursday’s rates of NPR 176.65 and NPR 177.44, respectively.
Other notable currencies include the Swiss Franc, with a buying rate of NPR 157.65 and a selling rate of NPR 158.36, and the Australian Dollar, with a buying rate of NPR 91.15 and a selling rate of NPR 91.56. The Canadian Dollar was valued at NPR 98.57 (buying) and NPR 99.01 (selling), while the Singapore Dollar stood at NPR 103.39 (buying) and NPR 103.86 (selling).
Among Asian currencies, Japanese Yen (10 units) had a buying rate of NPR 9.33 and a selling rate of NPR 9.38, while Chinese Yuan was valued at NPR 18.91 (buying) and NPR 18.99 (selling).
In the Middle Eastern currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal was listed at NPR 35.60 (buying) and NPR 35.76 (selling), and the Qatari Riyal at NPR 36.65 (buying) and NPR 36.81 (selling). The UAE Dirham saw rates of NPR 36.37 (buying) and NPR 36.54 (selling), while the Kuwaiti Dinar was priced at NPR 437.95 (buying) and NPR 439.91 (selling).
Additionally, the Bahraini Dinar was set at NPR 354.49 (buying) and NPR 356.08 (selling), and the Hong Kong Dollar at NPR 17.14 (buying) and NPR 17.22 (selling).
The Nepal Rastra Bank has indicated that these exchange rates may be revised as necessary. It also mentioned that rates set by commercial banks may vary slightly, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s website.
