‘Duluwa’ Team Reaches Kanyakumari on Mission to Promote Pokhara Tourism

To promote tourism in Nepal’s tourism capital, Pokhara, the ‘Duluwa’ team has successfully reached Kanyakumari, India. The team embarked on their month-long journey on August 1 from Pokhara, traversing through Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu before arriving in Kanyakumari, according to team member Thakur Baral. So far, the team has covered a distance of 4,500 kilometers. The journey, which began with prayers at the Kalika Temple in Kaskikot, has been named ‘Ketuke.’

After completing the ‘Ketuke’ journey, the team plans to return to Pokhara, passing through Kerala, Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Gorakhpur, and Sunauli.

During the journey, the team has engaged in discussions with local communities, business owners, and tourism professionals, shared team coordinator Yogesh Bhattarai. He expressed confidence that the tour would significantly contribute to the promotion of tourism in Pokhara.

The 19-member team, which began its journey on August 1 and is scheduled to conclude on August 25 in Pokhara, aims to promote Nepal’s natural and cultural beauty while informing Indian tourists about the potential for adventure tourism.

Throughout their journey, the ‘Duluwa’ team has held interactions with local business owners and media professionals in each city they visit. The ‘Duluwa’ campaign was established in 2008 to promote tourism among youth by exploring various regions. The team has previously toured 70 districts in Nepal and ventured as far as Leh Ladakh in India.
