The Eastern Rukum Culture, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade Festival 2081-082 has started in Rukumkot, Sisne Rural Municipality-6, the district headquarters of Rukum East. The festival, organized by Athale Group Pvt Ltd. and Rukum East, opened on Tuesday with the slogan “Foundation of Prosperous Eastern Rukum, Identity of Art and Culture,” and was inaugurated by Mohan Bahadur KC, Deputy Chief of the District Coordination Committee of Rukum East. The festival will run from Chaitra 26, 2081, to Baishakh 10, 2082.
The event aims to promote trade in the district and preserve art and culture. Deputy Chief KC stated that the festival will further support the promotion of the district’s unique art, culture, and tourist destinations. The festival also features stalls showcasing local agricultural products, services, and historical, religious, and cultural heritage. The festival will include performances by nationally renowned actors, singers, and local artists. Organizers have set up around 100 commercial stalls for the event.
