The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is excited to announce and promote the 12th International Nepal Tattoo Convention, one of the most vibrant and culturally dynamic events of the year, set to take place from April 11–13, 2025 (29–31 Chaitra 2081) at the Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Kathmandu. This year’s convention is set to be the largest yet, bringing together more than 200 artists from 23 countries, making it a truly international celebration of artistry.
The event will feature over 90 booths showcasing some of the best craftsmanship from around the world. Visitors can expect live sessions, competitions, and artist showcases that highlight the incredible skill and creativity of both local and international artists. In addition to the activities, the convention will also include musical performances, DJ sets, art exhibitions, live painting demonstrations, and a variety of stalls offering handmade handicrafts, tattoo-related merchandise, and apparel. A wide array of food and drink stalls, including a cocktail bar, will add to the lively atmosphere, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Organized by Mohan’s Tattoo Inn and promoted by NTB, the event serves as a powerful platform for bringing together artists, travelers, and art lovers under one roof. It celebrates tattoo artistry as a universal form of self-expression and storytelling, fostering a sense of global community through ink. The convention offers a unique opportunity for Nepal to showcase its rich cultural heritage, alongside its growing status as a hub for global subcultures, including art.
NTB believes that events like the Nepal Tattoo Convention enhance Nepal’s image as a versatile and welcoming destination, especially among younger, creative travelers. As international participation continues to grow, the convention plays a significant role in promoting Nepal’s hospitality, artistic spirit, and cultural diversity to the world.
With its combination of art, culture, and creativity, the 12th International Nepal Tattoo Convention promises to be a memorable event that demonstrates Nepal’s evolving role as a center of global artistic expression. The event invites everyone to experience Nepal’s stories through the unique and personal art of tattooing one tattoo at a time.
