Engineer Prabhakar Chandra Mallik Appointed as Chief of Flight Safety at Civil Aviation Authority

In a recent decision by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal’s board meeting, Engineer Prabhakar Chandra Mallik has been appointed as the new Chief of Flight Safety. This appointment, made last Friday, marks a significant shift in the leadership of the flight safety division.

Mallik, who previously served as the head of the ‘Airworthiness’ division, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His extensive background includes working as an aeronautical engineer with notable airlines such as Cosmic Air, Sita Air, and Emirates Air.

The position of Chief of Flight Safety was previously held by Mukul Mishra, who has now been reassigned as the head of the Gautam Buddha International Airport. This transition reflects ongoing changes within the Civil Aviation Authority as it continues to enhance its oversight and regulatory functions in Nepal’s aviation sector.

Mallik’s appointment is expected to bring a renewed focus on ensuring the highest standards of flight safety, leveraging his extensive experience in aeronautical engineering and flight operations.
