Enhancing Tourism in Mustang: Capacity-Building Initiative Launched

The National Nature Conservation Fund, in collaboration with the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), Mountain Spirit Nepal, and other stakeholders, has launched a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of tourist guides and wildlife observers in Mustang’s Gharpajhong-5thini.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote and develop the tourism sector in the region. An informative presentation was provided, covering various topics essential for improving tourism service facilities. Key areas discussed included the necessary policy regulations that must be adhered to within protected areas, as well as insights into wildlife habitats and conservation efforts.

The program underscores a commitment to sustainable tourism, emphasizing the importance of education and capacity-building to ensure that local guides are well-equipped to lead tourists while promoting conservation efforts. By fostering a deeper understanding of the region’s natural resources and regulations, this initiative aims to create a more knowledgeable and responsible tourism sector in Mustang.

As this initiative unfolds, it is expected to contribute positively to the local economy and the preservation of Mustang’s unique biodiversity, making it an attractive destination for eco-conscious travelers.
