On Wednesday, the families of five victims who perished in the Saurya Airlines crash at Tribhuvan International Airport received the bodies of their loved ones. The administration of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital confirmed that the families collected the bodies today.
The deceased individuals identified are Uddhav Puri, Ashmin Niraula, Shyam Bindukar, Rajaram Acharya, and co-pilot Sushant Katwal. Their families took possession of the bodies, while other victims’ families refused to do so until their demands for insurance and compensation were met.
The tragic crash resulted in the deaths of 18 people, with Captain Manish Ratna Shakya surviving. He is currently undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College.
