The flight service at Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur has been suspended after no passengers showed up on Thursday. The air service had resumed on Monday, but there were no ticket bookings from passengers in Tulsipur on Thursday. Only three tickets were sold from Kathmandu. As a result, Thursday’s flight was canceled, according to the airline’s station in-charge, Bal Bahadur Sunar.

After a three-month break, the service resumed on Monday, with the current fare set at Rs. 7,100, down from the regular fare of Rs. 8,775. Due to the lack of regular flights, passengers must travel to Nepalgunj or Bhairahawa. The airport’s runway is small, only 750 meters long, and has not been able to accommodate large aircraft. Only 19-seater planes can land, making the service irregular. There have been repeated calls for the runway to be expanded. The airport was established in 1954.
