International carrier flydubai has established a new office in Pokhara, adding a local service point for travelers as the airline prepares to begin direct operations between Pokhara and Dubai. The office is located near the entrance of Pokhara’s old airport and will serve passengers seeking flight information and ticketing services. Travelers can use the facility for bookings, cancellations and other airline-related assistance without having to travel outside Pokhara for basic services.
New Office Brings Airline Services Closer to Travelers
The local office is expected to benefit passengers from Pokhara as well as neighboring districts who plan to travel internationally through Dubai. The office is being managed by Universal Tours and Travel, which serves as flydubai’s General Sales Agent in Nepal. Its establishment gives the airline a permanent local presence at a time when preparations are underway for the carrier’s new international service from Pokhara. For the local tourism and travel sector, the development provides an additional channel for travelers and tourism businesses to access information about the airline’s services and international connections.
Pokhara–Dubai Route to Add International Connectivity
flydubai is preparing to introduce a daily direct connection between Pokhara International Airport and Dubai International Airport. The airline has announced September 23, 2026, as the planned start date for the new service. The route will make Pokhara the airline’s second destination in Nepal after Kathmandu. Flights are scheduled to operate from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3. The service will also be connected to the flydubai–Emirates codeshare network, giving passengers opportunities to connect onward to destinations across the wider Emirates and flydubai network through Dubai.
International Air Access Supports Pokhara Tourism
The new route comes at an important time for Pokhara, which serves as a major gateway to Nepal’s mountain and adventure tourism destinations. Direct connectivity with Dubai can provide international travelers with another route to reach Pokhara, particularly visitors traveling from the Gulf and markets connected through Dubai. It may also make international travel more convenient for residents of Gandaki Province and western Nepal.
