Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba visited the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini, today. She was welcomed by Dr. Lhakyal Lama (Khempo Chime Chhiring), the Vice Chair of the Lumbini Development Trust.
Minister Rana visited the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, and the Pushkarini pond and gathered information about these sites. Dr. Lama briefed her about the work and development initiatives carried out by the Lumbini Development Trust. Lumbini Province’s Minister for Urban Development, Saroj Thapa, also accompanied Minister Rana during the visit.
The visit was attended by Lumbini Development Trust members, including Secretary Sanuraja Shakya, Executive Members Shyam Rokka, Rajesh Shakya, and others.
