The Global Association of Events & Hospitality Professionals (GAEHP) has formally launched its Uttar Pradesh Chapter in Varanasi, creating a new platform for closer collaboration among professionals from the travel, tourism, events and hospitality sectors across the state. The newly established chapter will focus on strengthening industry networking, facilitating knowledge sharing, promoting government-industry engagement and creating new business opportunities. It will also work toward supporting the growth of Uttar Pradesh as a leading destination for tourism, hospitality and business events.
D.N. Singh Appointed Chairman, Avneesh Pathak Secretary
The launch event also marked the formal announcement of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter’s leadership. D.N. Singh has been appointed as Chapter Chairman, while Avneesh Pathak has been appointed as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter. Both newly appointed leaders were felicitated during the programme, which brought together senior tourism officials, industry leaders, hospitality and travel professionals, association members and distinguished guests. The new leadership is expected to play a key role in expanding GAEHP’s activities, strengthening professional networks and facilitating greater engagement among tourism and hospitality stakeholders across Uttar Pradesh.

Tourism Officials Attend Launch
The programme was attended by Amit Gupta, Assistant Director, India Tourism, and Dinesh Kumar, Joint Director, Uttar Pradesh Tourism. Both tourism officials were felicitated by the GAEHP leadership in recognition of their contribution to and support for the tourism industry. Their participation highlighted the importance of stronger cooperation between government tourism authorities and private-sector stakeholders in developing the state’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem.
Traditional Ceremony Marks Chapter Inauguration
The formal inauguration of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter was marked by ceremonial lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana. The traditional ceremony symbolised knowledge, positivity and the beginning of a new journey for GAEHP in Uttar Pradesh. The launch in Varanasi also provided a fitting setting for the establishment of the new chapter, given the city’s importance as a major centre for cultural, spiritual and heritage tourism.

The gathering featured addresses from Pranav Bansal, Honorary Secretary, GAEHP; P.P. Khanna, National Advisor, GAEHP; Rajesh Arya, President, GAEHP; Amit Gupta of India Tourism; and Dinesh Kumar of Uttar Pradesh Tourism.
