According to Chief District Officer Arjun Paudel, a special security arrangement has been enforced along the Betrawati–Gosaikunda route. Security personnel from the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police have been deployed to assist and rescue pilgrims affected by altitude sickness during the journey.

The District Traffic Police Office reported an increase in the number of devotees compared to previous years. Over 1,000 pilgrims reached Chandanbari on Wednesday evening and began ascending towards Lauribinayak early Thursday morning, according to Langtang National Park officials.
To support the pilgrims, buses and other vehicles are operating from Balaju in Kathmandu to Dhunche, ensuring adequate transportation for the religious journey. Beyond Dhunche, checkpoints and lodging facilities in Khanti, Deurali, Chandanbari, Cholangpati, Lauribinayak, and Gosaikunda have already been inspected.

CDO Paudel also stated that hoteliers and lodge operators have been requested to provide smooth services to incoming visitors. For those experiencing breathing difficulties while climbing uphill, horse rides are available from Chandanbari, making the journey more accessible.
Paudel urged pilgrims to undergo health checkups before departure and to contact security patrols, the District Administration Office, or local police in case of any difficulties along the route. With improved transport, rescue services, and lodging facilities in place, this year’s Gosaikunda Mela is expected to proceed smoothly, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
