The government has established an inquiry commission to investigate the recent helicopter crash that occurred in Nuwakot. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.
Subash Thapa, a senior pilot of the Nepal Army, will lead the commission. The team includes members Bishnu Basnet and Tanuja Pokharel. According to Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, the commission is expected to complete its investigation within 30 days from its commencement.
The tragic incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when an Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in Nuwakot, resulting in the death of five individuals. The government aims to thoroughly examine the crash’s circumstances to prevent future occurrences and ensure aviation safety.
