The initiative aims to simplify travel procedures for foreign visitors by offering multiple tourism-related services through a single digital platform. Officials believe the system will improve efficiency, reduce administrative delays, and enhance the overall travel experience in Nepal.

Mountain Tourism Safety and Rescue System to Be Modernized

Recognizing the importance of adventure and mountain tourism, the government stated that tourism safety, search, and rescue systems in mountainous regions will be upgraded using modern technology. The policy highlights the need for advanced rescue coordination and improved emergency response mechanisms to ensure safer trekking and mountaineering activities across Nepal’s Himalayan regions.

International Promotion Planned for “Visit Nepal 2085”

The government has also begun preparations for the “Visit Nepal 2085” campaign, which aims to significantly boost the country’s tourism sector. According to the policy document, international promotional campaigns will focus on increasing tourist arrivals, raising per-tourist spending, and extending the average duration of stay among foreign visitors.
