Govinda Marasini Receives TAAN Journalism Award 2024

Journalist Govinda Marasini has been honored with the “TAAN Journalism Award 2024,” presented by the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN). This accolade recognizes Marasini’s significant contributions to Nepal’s tourism sector through journalism.

The award ceremony took place during TAAN’s 46th General Assembly and elections in Kathmandu. The event was graced by Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister of State Arun Kumar Chaudhary, and TAAN President Nilhari Bastola, among others, who presented the award to Marasini.

Marasini, a resident of Putalibazar, Syangja, has been an active journalist for the past 13 years. He has contributed extensively to national media and various journals on topics including youth, tourism, politics, and contemporary issues. His work has particularly focused on promoting Nepal’s key tourist destinations, adventure tourism, religious tourism, and rural tourism.

In addition to the TAAN Journalism Award, Marasini has received several accolades, including the Gandaki Province Youth Talent Award (Tourism Promotion), the SAARC Youth Leader Award, and the Award for Active Journalism in Crisis.
