Grand Cycle Rally Organized Ahead of Koti Hom Mahayagya at Pashupatinath Temple

A grand cycle rally was organized yesterday at the Pashupatinath Temple premises to promote the upcoming Koti Hom Mahayagya, set to commence on the first day of the Nepali month of Shrawan. The Mahayagya will take place in the Banakali area of the Pashupatinath Temple complex.

The cycle rally aimed at spreading awareness about the Mahayagya, started from the Pashupatinath Temple premises and proceeded through Chabahil, encircling the Ring Road. Anuj Pacha, a media person from the Manav Sewa Foundation, shared this information.

According to Pacha, the rally saw the participation of 276 cyclists. The preparation for the month-long Mahayagya, organized by the Manav Sewa Foundation along with nearly a dozen other organizations, is now in its final stages.

Khemraj Regmi from the organizing committee informed that the Mahayagya will feature blessings and discourses from Jagadgurus, sadhus, saints, and renowned storytellers. Notable speakers include Pandit Dinbandhu Pokharel, Radhika Dasi, Sri Ram Kathavachak Chandrakala Sakhi, and the popular young storyteller of Shrimad Bhagwat, Devi Pratibha.

The Manav Sewa Foundation has outlined an extensive schedule for the Mahayagya, including continuous recitations of various Puranas by 108 pandits, uninterrupted Vedic hymns, 5,100 divine Kalash Pujan, recitations of the four Vedas, Kanya Puja for over 11,000 girls, Tula Daan for thousands, and the construction of a mountain of rice (Tandulachal) as part of the festivities. Additionally, the event will feature regular Havan (ritualistic fire ceremony), honoring of senior citizens, and many other spiritual activities.

The Koti Hom Mahayagya promises to be a significant religious event, drawing participants and devotees from various parts of the country to the historic Pashupatinath Temple.
