Yesterday, Itahari in Sunsari witnessed a grand celebration as the Jagannath Rath Yatra was held with great enthusiasm. Organized by ISKCON Itahari, the event featured the deities of Lord Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra being paraded in a beautifully decorated chariot around the town. The procession was accompanied by devotional songs and vibrant tableaux, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The Rath Yatra began from ISKCON Itahari’s office at Hatiya Line and traversed key locations including Main Chowk, West Line, Dharan Line, Gorkha Department Store, East Line, and Milan Chowk. The procession concluded at the Radha Krishna Shiva Temple premises.
Devotees from various parts of the country gathered in Itahari to participate in this auspicious event, marking it as a significant cultural and religious celebration for the town. The turnout and enthusiasm of the participants underscored the importance of the festival in the local community.
