Growing Tourist Footfall at Ramgram Stupa

The historic Ramgram Stupa, located in Ramgram-7, is witnessing an increasing number of both domestic and international tourists. This ancient stupa is significant for housing the complete relics of Gautam Buddha.

Siddhicharan Bhattarai, the treasurer of the Lumbini Development Trust, stated that there has been a noticeable surge in tourist activity at various locations, including Ramgram Stupa, Panditpur, Lumbini, and Tilaurakot.

On Friday, a group of 28 tourists from Indonesia visited the Ramgram Stupa to participate in a lighting ceremony, further highlighting the stupa’s appeal as a spiritual and cultural destination.

The growing interest in Ramgram Stupa reflects its importance in the Buddhist heritage and the potential it holds for enhancing tourism in the region.
