The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) is set to organize the first-ever Yoga Festival in Nepal, a four-day event aimed at promoting yoga tourism and wellness travel in the country. The festival will take place from October 16 to 19, 2024, at the Purna Yoga Retreat Center in Bhakunde, Pokhara, in collaboration with the Nepal Yoga Festival.
The event will kick off tomorrow at 3:00 PM, bringing together yoga enthusiasts, wellness travelers, and tourism professionals. With the growing demand for wellness tourism, this festival is seen as a significant step in enhancing Nepal’s tourism offerings. The program will feature sessions led by 15 international trainers and presenters, providing participants with a diverse and enriching experience.
HAN President Binayak Shah emphasized the importance of integrating yoga into Nepal’s tourism sector, while General Secretary Sajan Shakya highlighted the long-term benefits of such initiatives for the country’s tourism development.
The festival is priced at NPR 3,000 per day for Nepali citizens and NPR 6,500 for foreign participants. HAN estimates the total project cost to be around NPR 4.5 million, with Yeti Airlines as the official travel partner, ensuring convenient travel options for attendees.
