A hiking event was organized to promote the 400-year-old Siddhababa Temple and Thaple Tiger Hill, located in Ulleri, Ward 22 of Pokhara Metropolitan City. According to Krishna Ranabhat, the president of Hikers Club Nepal, the club has been promoting Pokhara and its surrounding villages through hiking activities. In its 56th series, it included Ulleri village.

He mentioned that Hikers Club Nepal conducts hiking on the last Saturday of every month under the main slogan “Hiking for Health and Tourism.” In the 56th series, Thaple Tiger Hill and the 400-year-old Siddhababa Temple were part of the route.

According to Mansi Gurung, chairman of the Thaple Tiger Hill Management Committee, around 400 years ago, livestock in Ulleri village started falling sick and disappearing while grazing. After searching for a solution, the Siddhababa Temple was established at the site. Since then, the temple has been a place of worship. Currently, the area has been developed with facilities such as a view tower, stupa, waiting area, restrooms, and a plastic pond for wildlife.

This edition of the hike, starting from Paiyu Chautara in Bhundhi, had 32 participants, including Dipak Bhandari, a member of the Gandaki Province Policy and Planning Commission, folk singer Chhabi Gharti Magar, and singer Dilkumari Khad, as reported by the club.
