The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association, Nepal (HSMA), marked its second anniversary with a grand celebration at Chitlang Resort. The two-day event, titled “Sales Retreat,” was held on Friday, bringing together over 60 key representatives from sales and marketing departments of hotels and resorts across the country.
The event saw the participation of major hotels from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Bhairahawa, including prominent establishments like Paradise Inn, Hotel Yak and Yeti, The Everest Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, Tiger Tops, Hotel Namaskar, Best Western Plus, and KGH Group. Representatives from Pokhara’s Hotel Mount Kailash, Hotel Nivasa, Majeri Resort & Spa, Hotel Sarowar, Moonlight Hotel, Kuti Resort, and Hotel Nirvana from Bhairahawa also took part.
Additionally, attendees included representatives from other renowned hotels such as Nepali Ghar Thamel, Hotel Travel Inn, Hotel Himalayan Villa Nagarkot, Hotel Rhine, Apex Business Hotel, and Hotel Golden Temple Inn.
Event coordinator and HSMA convener, Deepak Pokhrel, emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration within Nepal’s hospitality industry. He remarked, “Through this program, we have focused on strengthening the relationships between our association members, developing marketing, public relations, and communication strategies. The main highlight of the event was the interaction between new and existing members and the in-depth discussions on future collaboration opportunities. We plan to host the next event in Chitwan with even more impact.”
HSMA, which plays a crucial role in promoting Nepal’s hotel industry and tourism, serves as an umbrella organization for sales and marketing representatives from five-star to non-star hotels. The association currently has over 200 members, making it a vital player in shaping the hospitality sector in Nepal.
