Hotel and Tourism Index Continues Upward Trend, Gains 47.74 Points Amid Volatile NEPSE Trading

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a modest increase, rising by 6.90 points, or 0.24%, to close at 2,830.16 points. This follows a significant gain of 127.32 points in the previous session, where the index closed at 2,823.25 points.

The trading day was marked by volatility, with the index opening at 2,834.42 points and fluctuating throughout the session. The NEPSE Index reached an intraday high of 2,860.43 points and a low of 2,802.92 points before settling at its final level.

The Hotel and Tourism Index also showed positive momentum, rising by 47.74 points, or 0.65%, to close at 7,332.21 points. This increase comes on the heels of a substantial 342.12-point gain in the previous session, where the index closed at 7,284.46 points.

Trading in the Hotel and Tourism sector mirrored the broader market’s volatility. The index opened at 7,293.8 points, reaching an intraday high of 7,397.61 points and a low of 7,174.86 points before closing at the final level.

This continued upward trend in the Hotel and Tourism Index reflects growing investor confidence in the sector, as it steadily recovers and shows signs of resilience amid broader market fluctuations.
