Hotel and Tourism Sector Drives NEPSE to Significant Gains

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a substantial increase of 52.97 points, or 2.40%, closing at 2,257.59 points today. This follows a 29.21-point rise in the previous trading session, highlighting a period of strong market performance driven significantly by the Hotel and Tourism sector.

Today, the NEPSE index opened at 2,239.41 and recorded an intraday low of 2,230.50. It climbed to an intraday high of 2,290.95 before closing at 2,257.59.

The Hotel and Tourism Index, in particular, saw a notable rise of 59.92 points, or 1.07%, closing at 5,659.59 points today. This follows a 33.63-point increase in the previous session, emphasizing the sector’s strong performance.

Today’s session saw the Hotel and Tourism Index opening at 5,677.85 and hitting an intraday low of 5,599.54. It surged to an intraday high of 5,746.39 before settling at 5,659.59.

The robust performance of the Hotel and Tourism sector highlights growing investor confidence and positive market sentiment, contributing significantly to the overall market gains.
