Hotel Sarathi Teams Up with Citizens Capital to Launch Landmark IPO

Hotel Sarathi Pvt. Ltd., a prominent luxury hotel located in the scenic town of Dhulikhel, has signed an agreement with Citizens Capital Limited to appoint the latter as the issue and sales manager for its forthcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO). The official signing ceremony was held at Hotel Sarathi’s premises, where Executive Chairman Mr. Pralhad Pyakurel and Citizens Capital CEO Mr. Sabir Bade Shrestha formalized the partnership through a memorandum of understanding.

As per the agreement, Hotel Sarathi will issue 15 lakh ordinary shares, representing 30 percent of the company’s total issued capital, with a total worth of Rs 15 crore. Upon the successful issuance of the IPO, the hotel’s paid-up capital is expected to reach Rs 50 crore. The company aims to complete the IPO process and get listed on Nepal’s capital market within the fiscal year 2082/83. This move is anticipated to open new avenues for investors in Nepal’s growing hotel and tourism sector.

Established in 2072 and operational since Chaitra 2076, Hotel Sarathi has carved a niche for itself as a luxury hospitality destination. The hotel offers 80 elegantly designed rooms in various categories including Presidential Suite, Suite, Premium, and Deluxe. With a strong focus on high-end hospitality, it also features four well-equipped conference halls that can accommodate between 20 to 400 guests, making it a favored venue for corporate meetings, incentive travel, conferences, and events (MICE tourism), as well as destination weddings. A key highlight is the rooftop infinity swimming pool and pool bar situated on the seventh floor, offering stunning panoramic views of the Langtang and Gaurishankar mountain ranges.

Hotel Sarathi is spread over an expansive 19 ropanis of land and continues to evolve as a comprehensive hospitality destination. It maintains its own organic farm, ensuring the supply of fresh produce for its kitchens and reducing its carbon footprint. The property is also being developed as a multi-dimensional tourist hub, with upcoming features such as rope cycling, a sports center, scenic picnic spots, and a helipad to accommodate high-end travelers and emergency services. These enhancements are expected to further elevate the guest experience and reinforce the hotel’s appeal as a unique resort in Dhulikhel.

The hotel has become increasingly popular among both domestic and international tourists, thanks to its commitment to personalized service and local integration. Emphasizing sustainability, Hotel Sarathi uses locally sourced ingredients and curates tailored menus, thereby promoting local employment, skill development, and capacity building in the surrounding community.

Looking ahead, the Sarathi Group is planning to expand its brand to other major tourist destinations across Nepal. The group has already launched its second property in Sauraha, Chitwan, a well-known destination for jungle safaris and cultural exploration. This expansion is part of the group’s vision to create a network of eco-conscious, luxury accommodations across the country that cater to both international tourists and the growing domestic travel market.

With its IPO on the horizon, Hotel Sarathi is positioning itself not just as a luxury hotel, but as a symbol of innovative and inclusive tourism development in Nepal. By entering the capital market, the hotel is opening the doors for investors who are looking to be a part of Nepal’s booming tourism sector. The partnership with Citizens Capital Limited ensures that the IPO process will be professionally managed, giving investors confidence in transparency and regulatory compliance.

Hotel Sarathi’s move to go public is more than a financial decision it represents a forward-looking strategy that blends hospitality excellence with sustainable growth, community development, and broader economic contribution. As Nepal continues to attract tourists from across the globe, initiatives like these will be instrumental in enhancing the country’s tourism infrastructure and global image.
