The Government of India is taking major steps to position the country as a top global tourist destination during the Amrit Kaal. The Ministry of Tourism is actively promoting it’s diverse attractions through media campaigns, social media outreach, and international collaborations.

A key initiative is the launch of the Incredible India Content Hub, a digital repository with high-quality tourism content. To enhance infrastructure, schemes like Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and PRASHAD focus on sustainable and destination-centric tourism development.

Additionally, 40 projects worth ₹3,295.76 crore have been sanctioned to support tourism infrastructure under SASCI. Capacity-building programs, including the Incredible India Tourist Facilitator (IITF) Certification, aim to improve service standards. The government is also working with various ministries to enhance road, rail, and air connectivity to key tourist destinations, ensuring a seamless travel experience for visitors.
