Annapurna Square Pvt. Ltd. has signed a management agreement with ITC Hotels, a prominent name in India’s luxury hospitality sector, to redevelop and operate a new 5-star hotel at the current site of Hotel Annapurna in Durbarmarg, Kathmandu. This collaboration is set to redefine Nepal’s hospitality landscape by transforming the historic Hotel Annapurna into a premier luxury destination under ITC’s esteemed Welcomhotel brand.
The agreement marks a pivotal moment for Nepal’s tourism industry, with ITC Hotels bringing its expertise in world-class hospitality, sustainability, and management to the project. The reimagined Annapurna aims to maintain its legacy as one of Kathmandu’s most iconic hotels, blending luxury with cultural heritage.
At the signing ceremony in Kathmandu, Shreejana Rana, Executive Director of Hotel Del’ Annapurna Pvt. Ltd., expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Our theme, ‘The Annapurna: Reviving from a Hotel to an Iconic Destination,’ reflects our commitment to combining heritage and modern innovation. ITC Hotels’ expertise in sustainable luxury aligns perfectly with our vision.”
Min Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Annapurna Square Pvt. This redevelopment will be ITC Hotels’ second international venture in Nepal, further solidifying its presence in the region, alongside its Fortune Resort & Wellness Spa in Bhaktapur.
