Shocking Incident: Japan Airlines Clips Parked Delta Aircraft at Seattle Airport

On Wednesday morning, a significant collision was narrowly avoided at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. A Japan Airlines Boeing 787-9, while taxiing for deicing, struck the tail of a parked Delta Air Lines Boeing 737. The incident occurred around 10:17 a.m. local time.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the passengers and crew of both flights. All individuals were safely evacuated from the aircraft. The collision caused damage to both planes but had minimal impact on overall airport operations.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the incident. Preliminary reports indicate that the Japan Airlines plane’s right wing struck the tail of the Delta aircraft while taxiing. This event follows a tragic mid-air collision in Washington, D.C., last week, which resulted in 67 fatalities. The recent incidents have raised concerns about aviation safety protocols.
