Kathmandu International Art Exhibition to Foster International Relations

The “Kathmandu International Art Exhibition” is set to take place at the Taragaon Museum in Boudha on Friday, to expand international relations through art. The exhibition will feature the works of 10 foreign and 12 Nepali artists, showcasing a diverse array of paintings.

According to Roshan Pradhan, the exhibition’s coordinator and a participating artist, art plays a crucial role in strengthening and deepening relationships. Therefore, the participation of foreign artists has been emphasized. Artists from India, the United States, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Bhutan are set to participate in the event.

“The exhibition serves a dual purpose of promoting both art and tourism,” Pradhan stated. “As foreign artists explore Nepal, they are inspired to capture the country’s cultural and natural beauty in their work, further enhancing the exhibition’s impact.” He added that hosting an international art exhibition in Nepal not only promotes Nepali art and culture but also increases the country’s appeal as a tourist destination.

The exhibition will allow artists to present their perspectives and creations on canvas. Featured artists include Vidhata KC, Pratima Makhim, Kapilmani Dixit, Manishlal Shrestha, Pradhumna Shrestha, Dr. Prakash Kishor, Prithvi Shrestha, Roshan Bhandari, Roshan Mishra, and Dr. Subodh Sagar Dhakal, among others.
