Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki emphasized that Dharan holds great importance as a center for religious tourism. While inaugurating the Shree Krishna Pranami Dharamshala in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-8, he highlighted the city’s significance not only in tourism but also in agriculture. He noted that Dharan is a vibrant multicultural, multilingual, and multi-religious city, making it an ideal destination for visitors.
Chief Minister Karki assured that the provincial government is committed to Dharan’s development and will allocate a budget in the upcoming fiscal year to promote religious tourism sites. He reaffirmed the government’s support for initiatives that enhance the city’s appeal to tourists. The newly inaugurated Dharamshala, constructed by the Dharamshala Construction Committee, was built at a cost of Rs. 315 million.
