The Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road section has been obstructed by a landslide, causing significant disruptions for tourists visiting the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve. The landslide occurred at Bhusunde, in Dhorpatan Municipality-9, following continuous heavy rainfall.
Dhan Bahadur Kayat, the acting mayor of Dhorpatan Municipality, reported that the landslide has affected various sections of the road leading to Dhorpatan via Burtibang Bazaar. He noted that the area is still experiencing rainfall, complicating recovery efforts.
“Efforts are underway to clear the landslides at multiple locations to restore the road,” Mayor Kayat stated.
Tourists traveling to Dhorpatan via Burtibang have been stranded in the villages of Bobang and Suprang, awaiting the resumption of normal road conditions. Local authorities and emergency services are working tirelessly to address the situation and ensure the safety of all affected travelers.
