In an effort to safeguard Gaja Dhal, a significant tourist destination that has been overshadowed by a lack of promotion and infrastructure, local residents have come together for a noble cause. For the past two years, they have not received any government budget for infrastructure development, prompting them to organize a Shrimad Bhagwat Gyan Mahayagya to raise funds for conservation efforts.
The upcoming Gaja Dhal Siddha Barah Shrimad Bhagwat Gyan Mahayagya is set to take place from Mangsir 8 to 14 in the Jaimini Municipality-3 area, as announced by ward chair Krishna Bhujel. The event aims to not only protect and promote Gaja Dhal but also to facilitate the reconstruction of the Siddh Barah temple.
Chairman of the main organizing committee, Lok Bahadur Chhantyal, expressed the commitment of residents living both at home and abroad to contribute to the development of this tourist area. “Our primary goal is to highlight the natural and religious significance of Gaja Dhal, and we believe that this Mahayagya will play a pivotal role in building tourist infrastructure and developing the site as a religious center, while also promoting local products,” he stated.
With a strong community effort and a clear vision, the residents are determined to transform Gaja Dhal into a prominent destination that reflects both its cultural heritage and natural beauty.
