Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has stated that Lumbini is a key investment destination. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to creating a favorable investment environment, he urged industrialists and entrepreneurs to invest in Lumbini.
Speaking at a discussion program organized by Kantipur Media Group in Rupandehi today, Minister Paudel highlighted Lumbini’s vast potential and encouraged the private sector to link business opportunities with its possibilities. He noted that Lumbini can elevate Nepal’s overall economy and emphasized the need for collective efforts to develop it as a leading hub for urban infrastructure, education, healthcare, and industry.
“Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, is home to significant heritage sites related to his life, along with high-quality hotels,” he said. “Bardiya National Park is also located within Lumbini Province. The region holds immense potential and resources.”
Minister Paudel also announced that Gautam Buddha International Airport will soon be fully operational and assured that the under-construction Narayangadh-Butwal road section will be completed for one-way traffic before the monsoon season.
