Lumbini Gears Up for Spectacular Seminar and Cultural Celebration with Delegates from 40 Countries

An international cultural festival and seminar will be held in Lumbini to strengthen Nepal-China cultural relations. The fourth seminar is scheduled for Baishakh 13 and 14, with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli set to inaugurate the event. The seminar is organized by Lumbini Buddhist University, while the Sariputra Foundation is coordinating the festival.

The event is supported by China’s World Alliance for Buddhist Cultural Exchange Limited and Wecho Peace Calligraphy and Painting Academy, along with Nepal’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Lumbini Development Trust. Representatives from 40 countries are expected to participate.

The international seminar will be held at Metta Hall of Lumbini Buddhist University and inaugurated by Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya. According to coordinator Dr. Sagar Neupane, 40 papers will be presented focusing on Buddhist and Chinese culture, traditional medicine, and education.

The festival will also feature cultural programs and photo exhibitions at the International Meditation Center. Candlelight ceremonies will be held at the Mayadevi Temple, Ramgram, and Tilaurakot. The previous three cultural festivals were hosted in Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
