Luxury Resort Worth Rs 1.83 Billion to Be Built in Nagarkot Near Kathmandu Valley

A luxury resort is set to be constructed in Nagarkot, a prominent tourist destination near the Kathmandu Valley, with a total investment of Rs 1.83 billion. The project is being undertaken by Capital Hill Resort Pvt. Ltd., which has planned the development of a state-of-the-art resort featuring modern amenities to attract both domestic and international tourists.

According to the company, the resort will be developed under a 70:30 investment ratio, with Rs 760 million being sourced as bank loans and Rs 322 million coming from investors. So far, the company has already secured Rs 120 million in loans and raised Rs 63 million from investors. Additionally, the land acquisition process has been completed, and approximately 19% of the estimated project cost has been collected.

The resort is being constructed with support from long-term financing, for which an Rs 800 million loan rating has been obtained. The proposed resort will feature 86 luxury rooms and include comprehensive facilities such as dining, accommodation, a swimming pool, conference and banquet halls, a spa, and other high-end services.

Dr. Lekhnath Bhandari is the primary investor in the project. He is a well-known figure in the tourism industry and serves as the chairman of Ample Pvt. Ltd., Ample Trekking, and Inter City Investment. Another key investor in the project is Madhav Sundar Malla, adding further credibility to the venture. With such notable figures behind the project, the upcoming luxury resort in Nagarkot is expected to enhance the area’s appeal as a premier tourism hub.
