In a significant development aimed at infrastructure enhancement, the girder launching of four bridges along the Prithvi Highway is scheduled to commence. The bridges in question, namely Ganesh Khola, Dangdung Khola, Kheste Khola, and Pokhre Khola, will undergo critical construction activities under the Naubise Malekhu road section.
To facilitate this operation, authorities have announced a temporary halt in vehicular movement, citing potential risks to road users and hindrances in traffic flow. Commencing from 2081/03/26 to 2081/04/09, the closure will be enforced daily from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am. During these hours, all vehicles, with the exception of ambulances and security agency vehicles, will be restricted from using the affected stretches of the highway.
Drivers are urged to adhere strictly to lane discipline and refrain from overtaking arbitrarily to ensure smooth execution of the girder launching process. The Planning Office extends its apologies for any inconvenience caused to the general public during this period.
In view of the anticipated disruption, commuters are advised to consider the Galchi Bidur Chhare Tokha road as an alternative route to mitigate travel delays and congestion.
