In a major boost to Nepal’s adventure tourism, ‘The Cliff’ in Kushma has officially launched the world’s longest and tallest ‘Megatroll.’ The newly operational Megatroll stands 255 meters high and spans a length of 1,228 meters, offering an exhilarating experience to adventure seekers.
The Megatroll route extends from the tower situated in The Cliff premises at Balewa to another tower located below Kushma Bazaar. According to The Cliff’s chairman, Raju Karki, up to three people can enjoy the ride at the same time. Participants have the option to experience it solo or as a pair. The speed of the Megatroll reaches up to 140 kilometers per hour, and the duration of the ride ranges from seven to twelve minutes. The speed can also be adjusted based on preference.

An investment of NPR 40 million (approximately USD 300,000) has been made to establish the Megatroll. Chairman Karki stated, “The Megatroll falls under adventure sports and provides a combination of ziplining and roller coaster thrills.” The construction of the Megatroll began a year ago, and after successful testing two weeks ago, it was officially launched for commercial operation on Thursday.

A New Addition to Adventure Tourism in Kushma
The Cliff, already renowned for adventure activities, had earlier introduced couple bungee jumps for Valentine’s Day, allowing two people to experience a bungee jump together. Previously, bungee jumping at The Cliff was limited to solo jumpers.

The adventure park is home to the world’s second-highest bungee jump, swing, sky cycling, slingshot swing, sky café, and a well-equipped resort. With the addition of the Megatroll, The Cliff is further cementing its reputation as a premier destination for adventure enthusiasts.
Chairman Karki emphasized the unique experience of the Megatroll, stating, “Tourists can enjoy breathtaking views of the Kali Gandaki River while experiencing the thrill of the Megatroll. We are delighted to offer more facilities for visitors, and we expect this addition to significantly contribute to tourism, economic growth, and social development.”

Affordable Pricing and Upcoming Developments
The pricing for the Megatroll has been set at NPR 4,000 per person, while a group of three can enjoy the ride at a discounted rate of NPR 9,500. Additionally, The Cliff is currently working on constructing an adventure swimming pool and other facilities to enhance the visitor experience.

The development of tourism infrastructure in the region has been further supported by the blacktopping of the Kaligandaki Corridor and the Mid-Hill Highway, leading to a significant increase in tourist arrivals.
With such developments, The Cliff continues to position itself as a key adventure tourism hub, attracting both domestic and international tourists to the picturesque town of Kushma.
