Meteorological Division Predicts Rainfall in Several Provinces

The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating potential rainfall due to the combined influence of westerly and local winds.

The westerly winds have notably affected Lumbini, Sudurpashchim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces, while their impact is partially felt in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces. Currently, the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing partial cloudiness, with the remaining areas ranging from partially cloudy to mainly clear skies.

This afternoon, the weather in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces is expected to remain partially cloudy to mainly fair, though isolated areas in the hilly regions may experience light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Light rain is also possible tonight in select areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, October 15, hilly areas in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are forecasted to remain partially to generally cloudy, with a likelihood of light rainfall in some regions. Similar atmospheric conditions are expected to persist into the night.
