The tourist hub of Nepal, Pokhara, is going to host a Mini Street Festival in honor of World Tourism Day. This Friday night, from Ambot to Barahi Chowk, the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REWAN) will host the event along the banks of Fewa Lake.
The festival coordinator and general secretary of REWAN, Birendra Sherchan, has mentioned that it would include a bright array of cultural programs accompanied by music and dance. He conveyed his confidence that the festival, with the theme “Eat on the Street, Enjoy on the Street,” will be instrumental in drawing tourists to Pokhara from across the world.
REWAN’s President, Bishwaraj Paudel, highlighted that the festival will showcase a variety of cultural programs, presenting the diverse ethnic cultures and traditional attire of the region. Attendees can expect performances of cultural dances, documentary screenings of local tourist attractions, and a delightful selection of both domestic and international cuisines.
Additionally, various tourism-related organizations in Pokhara are also preparing to host a range of events in conjunction with World Tourism Day, further enhancing the celebrations and promoting the city as a key tourist destination.
This initiative aims not only to entertain but also to foster a deeper appreciation of Pokhara’s rich cultural heritage while boosting its tourism sector.
