In his remarks, Minister Tamang highlighted the immense potential of Manthali as a tourist destination. He emphasized the need for strategic development and promotion of the area to attract both domestic and international tourists.
“Manthali has a unique cultural heritage and natural beauty that can be leveraged to boost tourism,” said Minister Tamang. “We must focus on infrastructure development, preservation of cultural sites, and effective marketing strategies to enhance the tourism experience.”
Manthali, the district headquarters of Ramechhap, is known for its picturesque landscapes and rich cultural history. The region offers a variety of attractions, including traditional Newari architecture, scenic trekking routes, and vibrant local festivals. Minister Tamang underscored the importance of sustainable tourism practices to ensure that the area’s natural and cultural resources are preserved for future generations.
The “Manthali Tourism Promotion Program-2081” aims to engage local stakeholders, government officials, and tourism entrepreneurs in collaborative efforts to develop and promote Manthali as a prime tourist destination. The program includes discussions on potential tourism projects, infrastructure improvements, and community-based tourism initiatives.
Minister Tamang also announced plans for improved road connectivity, better accommodation facilities, and enhanced tourist services to make Manthali more accessible and attractive to visitors. He encouraged local communities to participate actively in tourism activities, highlighting the economic benefits that tourism can bring to the region.
The event was attended by representatives from various sectors, including local government officials, tourism industry experts, and community leaders. The interactive discussion provided a platform for sharing ideas and formulating strategies to boost tourism in Manthali.
As Nepal continues to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus on promoting lesser-known destinations like Manthali is seen as a significant step towards revitalizing the tourism sector and fostering sustainable economic growth.
