Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has emphasized the need to address the ambiguities observed in institutions ranging from federal to local levels. Speaking at an academic gathering jointly organized by the Nepal Academy, Nepal Fine Arts Academy, and Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, Minister Pandey assured his commitment to resolving issues faced by these establishments.
During the event, suggestions from the three academies were discussed, highlighting the need to maintain the hierarchy of their chancellors, vice-chancellors, and academicians in accordance with their respective acts and regulations. The discussions also covered the hierarchy of academicians in provincial and local academies, suggesting that their ranking should align with the hierarchy of provincial and local governments.
Minister Pandey stated that the issues raised during the discussions would be presented in the subject committee meeting for further deliberation. This initiative aims to streamline the functioning of cultural and academic institutions, fostering better coordination and clarity in their operations.
