The country is currently experiencing rainfall due to the influence of monsoon winds. Most areas in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are witnessing light to moderate rain, while other regions are also experiencing rainfall to varying degrees.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rain is expected in many places across all provinces this afternoon, with a likelihood of heavy rain in select areas within the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
As the evening progresses, the weather is forecasted to become generally completely cloudy nationwide. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi and Madhesh provinces and in many places within the other provinces. Heavy rain is anticipated in certain parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with one or two locations in Madhesh province also likely to experience heavy rainfall.
Residents are advised to stay updated with weather forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
