The monsoon winds continue to influence weather conditions across Nepal. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon trough is positioned at its average location in the west and slightly to the south and east.
Currently, the weather is partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light rainfall reported in a few areas of the Koshi Province.
For the afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini Provinces, while a few areas in other provinces may also experience similar conditions. Additionally, heavy rainfall is possible in one or two locations within the Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini Provinces.
At night, the weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as in one or two locations in other provinces.
