In a bid to promote tourism in the scenic Myagdi District, Mona Australia and the Myagdi Chamber of Commerce are joining forces to organize the Open Photo Contest 2024. The competition, aimed at showcasing the district’s natural beauty, will be conducted via Mona Australia’s Facebook page.
The contest will offer attractive prizes for the top three winners: NPR 100,000 for first place, NPR 50,000 for second, and NPR 25,000 for third, along with certificates, trophies, and other honors.
Nepali citizens from across the country are eligible to participate. Entries should focus on Myagdi’s tourist attractions, religious sites, daily life, culture, and festivals. Each photo must be accompanied by a 500-word description in Nepali.
Participants are required to submit their photos and descriptions through the messenger service on Mona Australia’s Facebook page. Qualified photos will be posted on the page by the admin, along with the contestant number.
The contest results will be determined based on Facebook insights, with winners selected for the highest number of likes, shares, comments, and reach.
The competition will run from Bhadra 15 to Ashwin 15, closing at 5 PM. The final results will be published on Ashwin 19, and winners will be honored at a photo exhibition and award ceremony in Beni.
Organizers believe that this contest will significantly contribute to the promotion of tourism in Myagdi by highlighting its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
