The team successfully traversed the perilous terrain and severe weather conditions of the world’s highest peak under the direction of Colonel Amit Bisht, a distinguished mountaineer who had previously climbed Everest in 2021.

The climbers included notable cadets such as Rajneesh Joshi, Balkar Singh, Kritika Sharma, Pratima Rai, and Mohit Knathia, among others, showcasing the strength, resilience, and dedication of India’s youth. The expedition was expertly supported by a team of seasoned Sherpa guides, including Jenjen Lama, Sonam Chhiring Lama, and Pasang Ongdi Sherpa, whose invaluable experience was crucial to the mission’s success.

Organized in partnership with Seven Summit Treks, the NCC Everest expedition demonstrated exceptional coordination, endurance, and teamwork. This achievement not only highlights the NCC’s commitment to fostering leadership and adventure skills among young Indians but also strengthens India’s stature in the global mountaineering community. The team is now preparing for a safe descent, with warm wishes from across the nation for their safe return.
